The name One Element was conceived around the idea that a business's online presence is one element of its marketing and branding efforts; and as such is only one of the many components to a synergistic marketing plan.
This holistic approach is kept in mind from the first client contact through final delivery...and beyond.
A Chicago native, Rick graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Marketing. He started his marketing career working for a small promotions agency as an Account Manager. After years of cutting his teeth on the ins and outs of client service, project management, graphic design, and print production; he began to foster a passion for digital marketing.
Rick has been employed in roles such as Digital Producer, e-Marketing Manager, and Internet Project Manager executing interactive projects for brands like Quaker Oats, Nissan, Keebler, Crate & Barrel, Philip Morris, Purina, and McDonald's. He has a knack for leading digital teams and resources to deliver exceptional work!
He is formally educated and self-taught in website design, user experience/usability engineering (UX), and programming. Continued education is ongoing to keep up with the ever changing digital landscape. He has built dynamic websites using .NET, PHP, and Python; but most often utilizes open source content management systems (CMS).
When not tethered to his MacBook Pro, Rick can be found rehabbing his historical home, bicycling, kayaking, motorcycling, dining with his wife, walking his two french bulldogs, or sampling new whiskeys.
